So you've begun foraging honeycombs, finding items, and completing your sets! Great start! You've maybe even dabbled in the community a bit by adding friends, selling items, and trading for that last item you were looking for! So what's the next step in your WallaBee adventure?! We've compiled some suggestions to help you advance your knowledge of WallaBee to the next level!
Managing Your Pouch
While you're out in the world finding items for your sets, you may want to pick up some extra items to trade or sell later! Maybe you don't travel around much, but you're staying current with actively releasing sets. In either case, you may want to increase the number of items you can hold at once by visiting the Freeze Tag Store. Everyone begins with 30 slots for items in their pouch, which is a great start to building up your collection. In fact, some longtime users still play with only 30 pouch space! There are other things you can do to help manage your pouch!
Locking Items
If your pouch is getting full of items you want to hold onto for a later trade, consider locking the item and stashing it in your Lock Box or at a place/location. Unlocked items dropped at places/locations can be picked up by anyone, so locking an item allows you the peace of mind knowing that it's safe and secure at a place/location. Locks can currently be purchased from the Freeze Tag Store or received as rewards from opening Mystery Boxes.
Recycling Items
Selecting an item and choosing the Recycle option will remove the item from your pouch and throw it to a random place/location around the world! There are achievements for recycling items, so if you're sure you don't need the item, consider recycling it!
Wishing Well
The Wishing Well is a special item, part of the Gen 4 set: Weed 'Em And Reap. This item can be mixed with almost any set item that's over #10,000. Each time an item is added to the Wishing Well, it will be charged with a Wish. Collect 50 wishes in the Wishing Well and you can redeem it for a helpful item.
Upgrading Your Collection
One beautiful part of WallaBee is the flexibility to collect how you want. Most players enjoy collecting the lowest possible number they can get their hands on, whereas other players enjoy collecting a particular number, a pattern of numbers, palindromes, a range of numbers, etc. There are certain benchmarks that players have created for explaining their collection's success to others (All TD, Sub-2000, etc.)
Auction House
The Auction House is a section of the forums used for just that... auctions! This is a great way to engage in some lighthearted bidding with other players to nab a special item someone is getting rid of. This process can be a bit complicated at first, so be sure to read up on the Auction House Rules before posting your first auction!
Collectibles
Set items aren't the only thing you can work toward completing. Although Collectibles are unable to fully complete, some players enjoy hunting after these rarer items, like Exclusives and Uniques. Some Exclusives have crazy recipes needed to find. For example, the Yeti item can be found by mixing one of each item in Expedition Everest. Uniques are distributed by other players, so they have the ability to control how many of those items are in circulation. When players create a certain number of Uniques that fall within the same theme or story, they have the option of creating a special Themed Unique subset to highlight their Uniques.
Mixers
Using Mixers has the chance to create an older item from the Mixerpool. This is a great way to upgrade your collection with rare and desirable items. The status of what can be found in the pool can be found on ItemBrowser. More about Mixers can be found in our FAQ.
