There are many item types that have hidden properties to them. Certain item types can be used as an ingredient in a mix and not be destroyed. Other items change their artwork to a variant when interacted with. This guide is to highlight these items and explain why they work the way they do.
Special Trading Mechanics
There are certain items that react to being traded.
- Central Mini Mites
- Trading one of these items will cause it to be destroyed, leaving one of the two players with an Atlantic Squirts item.
- Christmas Cracker
- Trading one of these items will cause it to be destroyed, leaving one of the two players with a random colored Party Hat item.
- Hoist The Cup
- Trading one of these items will cause it to be destroyed, leaving one of the two players with a Central Mini Mites item.
Variants
There are many items that have alternative artwork options, which we call variants. Most Set Items have an easy way to swap a variant for another variant by mixing it with the Wand Of Transformation. This doesn't work with every item with a variant, but you will find a list of all available options on the above link.
Some variants are only available through certain mixes. For example, the Hoist The Cup item has 31 different variants that can be earned through mixing certain variants of Lightek's Hockey Kids. Other examples include the Easter Chicks, the Jouster, and the Moodbob.
Special Mixing Mechanics
There are certain mixes that don't act like normal. The Wand Of Transformation mix above is a good example of this. The following examples are the most commonly found exceptions to the normal mixing "rules."
- Aftershave/Perfume
- These two items mix with every item in the game. However, only certain mixes will reveal a secret message. These items cannot be destroyed by any mix.
- Invisibility Cloak
- This item can be mixed with any item over #100,000 to create an Invisible Item from the Exclusive Items Set.
- Job Lot
- This item mixes with any item over #2,000 and creates a random Set Item. The Job Lot and item over number #2,000 are both destroyed.
- Wishing Well
- This item will mix with any item over #10,000.
- Once mixed, the Wishing Well remains in your pouch and gains a wish (credit), with the other item destroyed.
- A Wishing Well will not mix with another Wishing Well, regardless of the number.
- The Wishing Well does not work with Uniques.
- New types of items found within Wishing Wells: Miniest Mystery Boxes (x3) and Mystery Bag.
- Once a Wishing Well has 50 wishes, it can be Redeemed through the context menu.
- Redeemed Wishing Wells disappear and leave you a reward (like Grab Bags).
- Having more than 50 wishes does not increase your reward/odds of receiving a particular reward.
- There are various types of rewards, including a mixture of old and new items.
- This item will mix with any item over #10,000.
